Very well put this one "Deconstruct gut feel and explain thinking to the team. Leaders often have an intuition that has been honed by experience. They have developed mental heuristics that take them to a decision faster. But if they are unable to articulate their internal process, it often leads to a “trust me” scenario." It's a very tough one to master.

My personal experience as a decision maker has been the same--it's not easy. As a decision receiver, what I would like is to know the variables determining the decision, so that if they change the decision could change too. Thanks for your thoughtful comment!
